GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSION INTO +2 COMMERCE IN THE SESSION 2008 - 10
1. Eligibility:
Students who have passed Std. X or equivalent examination are eligible to apply. Minimum 60% of marks in aggregate and minimum 70 % of marks in Mathematics for the students intending to take Mathematics as an elective subject.
2. Curriculum:
Compulsory Subjects: English core, Work Experience, H.P.E.R. & General Studies.
Electives: Accountancy, Business Studies, economics, Computer Science/ Mathematics, Oriya, Physical Education.
N.B. Minimum 4 electives have to be taken including Economics, Business Studies & Accountancy.
3. Timing:
7.00 AM -12.05 PM (Monday to Friday).
9:45 AM- 01.25 PM (Saturday).
4. The application form should be supported by photocopies of marks statement, School Leaving Certificate, School Based Evaluation Certificate (for CBSE students only) and conduct certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
5. 75% of the total seats are reserved for the students of the school.
6. Application forms will be rejected if it is incomplete or not supported by required document.
7. Last date for submission of application form is 04-06-2008. Application forms received after the due date will not be entertained. The undersigned will not be responsible for any postal delay or late delivery.
8. The list (as per merit) for admission will be displayed on 04-06-2008 at 6.00 PM on the School Notice Board and in the school website.
9. Computer Science/ Oriya/ Mathematics/ Physical Education subjects will be offered at the time of counseling.
10. A candidate can also apply by downloading the application form from our web site and attaching a draft worth Rs. 200/- in favour of Principal, DAV Public School payable at Bhubaneswar.
